What we collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account, submit a product, contact us, or make a purchase. This can include your name or display name, email address, product details, listing assets, messages, and purchase-related records.
We also collect limited technical and usage information, such as device and browser information, IP address, pages visited, and security logs. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve IndieSignal.
How we use information
We use your information to authenticate your account; review, publish, and manage product submissions; provide customer support; process and reconcile purchases; prevent fraud and abuse; communicate important service updates; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising by third parties.
Account and listing information
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive the basic account information needed to identify and authenticate you, such as your email address and profile name or image when provided. Product information you submit may be published publicly after editorial approval. Please do not include confidential information in a public product submission.
Payments and service providers
When paid launch options are available, payment details are processed by the payment provider or merchant of record shown at checkout. IndieSignal does not store full card numbers or payment credentials. We may receive limited transaction information, such as purchase status, amount, currency, and an order reference, to provide the purchased service and handle support.
We use carefully selected providers for hosting, authentication, email, analytics, payments, and security. They may process personal information only as needed to provide services to us and under appropriate safeguards.
Retention, security, and your choices
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and meet legal, accounting, or security requirements. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we hold about you by contacting us. We may need to retain limited information where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as IndieSignal evolves. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date.
